这里有没有做过enterprise dashboard的？用了什么product还是自己动手写？我以前
用过一个flash的，但是公司没有这样的resource, 而且也没什么budget, anyone tried
any java open source products? if not, any commercial products you liked?

various information in the company, for example: calendars, sales trends,
trade exceptions, etc. also need to be able to drill down on information (e.g.
can click on asian sales and see the breakdown among the countries, china,
japan, korea, etc)

you can use a so-called 'enterprise portal' to help you. it's a pretty
popular product and all major software vendors have it. there are also
a lot of opensource alternatives. you need some non-trival development though.
usually, you either customize or develop your own 'portlet' for each small
app you want.
