just finished reading "The half-blood prince" last night, why Dumbledore had
to die?? the 5th book was sad enough that Sirius died, and JKR made it again,
wuwuwu.............. it was supposed to be a fun book, not a tragic reading,
wasn't it?

agree...
JKR said in an interview that as an Hero, Harry Potter should not have too
much assistance from other people....something like that...
that is why these people died.
I do not agree with this though...

i don't agree either.. even as a hero, Harry Potter would still need advice
from other people who are older and wiser. especially such perfect characters
she created, why killed them?!?! besides, it's just so weird that all the boys
and girls could always narrowly escape from danger, while the elders and
strongers so easily died.

This is a very common plot in many fictions - like si fi - the mentors have to
die in order for the protegee to grow up and fight independently. It's sad
but he has to die, and he knew it from the beginning of the book...

It shares the same idea as ender's game. The boy has to face the challenges
himself to grow up and become a hero.

我怎么觉得Dumbledore没死呢？看书中的描写，Dumbledore完全可以假死后躲起来。
从现在的情节看，HP断然没有能力独自去对付伏德魔，Snape虽然会帮忙，可显然他和HP
不能有效合作，互相拆台还差不多。没有Dumbledore从中斡旋，在下一本书之内就消灭伏
德魔简直就是神话，除了依靠运气似乎没有别的了。如果果真如此，那这套HP可就成了地
道的虎头蛇尾了。

如果真的是这样就好了...不过书中详细提到他的葬礼还有办公室里的画像还有凤凰的悲
歌，假死的可能性不是很大吧。我总觉得这个结局是Dumbledore和Snape先前预谋好的，
但是为什么当Snape用魔杖指着Dumbledore的时候眼里又会有强烈的hatred呢？

even by wizards' standard. And death was just another

那些肖像都会思考，甚至还能走来走去的，那岂不是和活着一样？
哪天Harry有问题了，就跑去问DD的肖像。

我突然在想，其实那些巫师们死了以后也挺享福的

我估摸着掉到幕布后面还不算完全死掉...不过奇怪,居然sirius的弟弟也没有画像

我觉得死了就是死了。要不死就没有震撼力了。
最后大概上一辈的牛人都得死，那样Harry就成牛人了。
