那天在Michael's买不到sterling silver wire，所以准备网购，在artbeads一看，五
花八门的好多。请问我要是买来做耳环的，half-hard 看着最接近我平时的耳环，那我
要买多粗的？多少gauge呢？

都是LP, DK等的浅薄旅游书。。。这贴发这是不是有点找办？

you wont be able to get sterling silver wire from michael's....
I think kittybaby mm usually use 28G for wire wrapping projects and using
20G for the thicker wire pieces
(center pieces for wire wrap or shaping the ear wire)...
but I think if you would like to do a lot of shaping, "dead soft" is
probably a better idea.
for most gemstones, they usually recommend a 26G or 28G for threading
through the hole...

20G for the thicker wire pieces
(center pieces for wire wrap or shaping the ear wire)...
but I think if you would like to do a lot of shaping, "dead soft" is
probably a better idea.

哦，俺在看格林斯潘的自传，还有本巴菲特的自传，这两本还不算太浅薄吧？

I had the same confusion, and found the prices are so different too. Please
look at the following link. Anyone knows why? And does "Increment: 5 feet" means the total length of the wire?

the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire, the more metal it is, the
more expensive...
so a 20G is more expensive than a 28G given the same length, because a 20G
is thicker and weighs more...
for increment of 5 feet, that price is $ per 5 feet. so if you place 2x the
order, you will get a total of 10 feet...
