Responsibility:
n Leads and manages a Unit (PU) to ensure that deliveries, HSE &
GMP targets are met and that costs are within budget. Achieves
operational excellence and continuously reviews processes and the
organisation in order to become more efficient, robust, flexible and
reliable.
n Has full chain end to end responsibility, ownership and
accountability for the process and assures development of people within
the Process Unit Organisation.
l Ensures compliance with GMP / HSE regulations, Novartis
policies, procedures and standards. Champions Quality Culture
l Develops the organization according to POO University
Principles (peer assessment, empowerment, cultural change, values &
behaviors)
l Sets and monitors performance targets of the Process Unit
in
line with business objectives
l Develops long term plan for PU/Site in line with TechOps
strategy
l Build/sustain strong network in and outside the
organization
(benchmarking)
l Creates environment of trust, assures clarity and open two
way communication and fosters speak-up mentality
l Drives IQP/LEAN philosophy through the PU, ensuring
continuous improvement for the whole process chain
l Ensures overall financial and business performance. End to
end responsibility, full ownership and accountability for costs, supply,
quality and operations
Requirement:
Technical/Scientific Academic Degree with additional qualification in
economics or vice versa
Fluent English required, other language(s) an advantage
Minimum of 10 to 25 years managerial experience in an production
(chemical/pharmaceutical) environment
Oversea experience is a plus
