A post-doctoral position funded by NIH is available for a highly motivated
individual. The candidate should have strong synthetic organic chemistry
background. Research in the Liu lab encompasses a broad spectrum of
synthetic chemistry and methodology to prepare highly water-soluble near-
infrared fluorescent probes for insightful understanding of cellular
functions. Qualified candidates should have a PhD in organic chemistry and
be well grounded in analytical techniques. The candidate must be able to
conduct independent research while collaborating with others in a large
interdisciplinary laboratory. The initial appointment will be for one year
with the intention of extending this position for additional one or two
