don't worry about the letter from your professor, or from
your university, because it's not very important.
I knew some of the F2 from shanghai, they also provided such
kind of letters, but the vo don't care at all, even if they
looked at the letter during the interview, it just takes a
few seconds.
but I suggest you LP herself provide a letter, in which you
can emphasis that you are quailified to get the visa, and
let the vo know that last they made a wrong decision,
sometimes it works. I know
