it really helped us a lot. And I feel I should tell our story too -- hopefully
it will help someone in need.

My parents had once come to the US in summer, 2000. And I (F-1 visa) went back
to China in summer, 2001, after I obtained my master's degree. I started my
Ph.D. in Fall that year in the same university but with a different I-20. My
mom retired from her teaching job in 2
