12月中投了一个东北部的中型公司，做instruments的，在业界好像还不错。今天突然
收到HR的电话，说是有我的简历，问我下周有没有时间过来面试。没有问任何问题。这
个听起来挺诡异的，不知道这里头有没有啥说道。职位很match，要求ee BS+两年，我
是博士,好像有些overqualify。不过看看职位要求，technical 上应该合适。

爸妈来过美国探亲两次。这次要代我侄女一起来美（侄女九岁，是第一次赴美）。父母
符合代签条件。打电话问签证预约处小孩是否也可以中信代签（不到14岁），回答说不
可以，必需面签，但是可以不用进领事馆，而由爷爷奶奶代为面签。感觉颇有些困惑，
最后决定还是让我的父母带着侄女一起进领事馆，结果签过了（6月4日在沈阳）。在签
证管看我和老公写给他的信时，老妈主动说曾来过美国两次，这次要带侄女一起来，要
去迪士尼乐园玩。签证官问以前来美呆了多久，女儿在美做什么，又问我侄女，几岁了
，爸爸妈妈叫什么名字。最后问我父母有没有小孩的出生公正，回答说有，就在老妈找
公正时，说签过了，也没看公正。
基本感觉就是，还是带小孩一起进去比较好。

They are in the process of booking the flight--if they ask me to pay for the
trip, of course I will not go.

我有过三个这样的onsite邀请
不过两个都在我去之前position freeze, 就没去成
可能他们很急着要人, 或者看有PhD就直接bypass phone interview了

可能是你某方面的简历描述和他们的要求很符合，尤其是某些特殊知识和技术，
Anyway, 很多公司都这样的，不要想太多，这种情况下多准备一下你简历上写的东西
比较好，不要大意了.

Thanks for your reply. It does sound a little weird to me initially as my
all other interviews follows HR phone interview->HM techinical interview->
onsite. This time the first two steps are skipped completely. I will follow
up with this post when I get back next week.

我也差不多这情况。hiring manager直接打电话过来问，你知道我们公司么？我们有个
职位很合适你背景，有没有兴趣飞过来见见。进组以后我们组又招了几个人，发现
phone interview的过程很耗时间，招一个人要on-site 3个人，这3个人是phone 15个
人选出来的。可怜我们technical lead至少花18个钟头来选一个人，还不包括看简历海
选的时间。几轮phone几轮on-site，还是直接on-site，还是phone以后直接给offer都
不奇怪，背后可能有很多原因是你作为一个被面试的人所不知道的。不用想为什么，好
好准备就是了。

面完了。一个是HM, 一个是另一个group的project lead，每个50分钟。HM的面试都是技术
问题，因为面的是junior职位，问的都是电路设计有关的实际问题，还是需要些具体做过的经验
的。自我感觉回答的还可以。最后HR扔给了一堆公司的资料，说是下周五followup。HM
说可能要一两个星期给答复。看样子，他们可能还有别的candidate。老天保佑吧！

Update:Received a phone call today, need to have another onsite next week.
Good or bad sign? The flight + hotel + taxi costs more than 1000$, they do
not even care? Never interviewed with such strange company.

candidates.

我也是，有两个公司，没有phone interview就让直接on-site了。

本来以为第二次onsite应该面大老板了，没想到竟然是俩个中国工程师（从名字上来看
）。上次面得一个是这个职位的manager，一个是另一个组的资深工程师。这次这两个
工程师级别稍低，在同一个组，比我面得职位高一个level。
看样子还是技术面试了，搞不懂为啥不上次一块儿面了，来回得2天，飞机还要转机，
实在是太折腾人了。

我就是第一次直接onsite，local 小公司。老板和老板的老板都在，直接打招呼，聊天
。然后才是电面，然后又是onsite,然后就发offer了，然后就从了。

Update:Finished the 2nd onsite. The interview was easy and fun. Both the two
interviews were conducted in Chinese, and these two fellow chinese
interviewers seemed to be friendly. The first guy asked a few technical
questions, but we did not go deep into the tech specs as the interviewer is
from a different group. The second guy just walked in and start bragging
about the city. He even said the chance to get the offer is high according
to his knowledge. However, he also said his comments have li

我下周就有个onsite 前天打电话来直接就约下周的面试
是local的小公司
