我不需要大家感谢我做了件公益的事情，我只是想说出来，解解心头怨气。大家以后申
请赴美VISA，很快就不需要买那个电话卡预约了。
我前几天直接给美国驻北京大使馆写了封信，建议他们采用网上预约面签时间的方式，
这样就可以废除那个要求我们买卡打电话预约的方式。其实，美国驻中国大使馆内负责
预约这类事务的都是我们中国人自己。那是帮混账的中国人，他们在用那种方式敛财，
这些人只要有利可图，什么都干。美驻中大使馆刚给我回应（见下），说会在近期施行
。这非常好，我帮助大家打掉那帮乱收费的国匪。
在中国驻美国芝加哥领事馆，那帮负责办理中国人护照补换的人，也是一个德行。明明
网上说让我们自己准备照片带过去，只要符合规格即可。我前年去更新护照，自己带了
照片过去，他们强行要给我们照相，然后好像就2张证件照片，收取10-20美元（具体多
少我记不清了）。很多人都有意见。这些人，一点文化都没有（我猜测，他们都是中国
那些大使、参赞的亲戚之类），乱收费，另外还架子大得很。凭什么他们得到这份工作
，拼什么乱收费？丢人丢到美国来了。
老百姓需要公平正义，得到一个平等教育机会、平等就业机会，这希望很渺茫。让我们
一起来推动我们祖国的公平正义！

Dear Officers,
I am writing to see whether your embassy could adjust your current
appointment making rules.
I am now in the USA and attempt to make an appointment for my mother (I hope
to invite her visit us). My mother was a peasant, now is old and does not
have knowledge to call the embassy for anything (she even can not say a
normal mandarin, not to say English). According to the current rules in your
place, I first bought a PIN number from your web, then use it to call to
make the appointment. However, I tried many many times to call the number
but could not reach (I tried both 4008 872 333 and +86 21 3881 4611). I
called other numbers of your embassy and confirmed that my phone was fine. I
do not know the reason.
Then I requested my Chinese friend (who stays in China now) to call that
number (for making an interview appointment) and it did work. However, they
just chatted for quite a few of irrelevant issues and it cost my 8 minutes,
and then again 8 minutes, the again 8 minutes. I do not find any reason.
Another thing is maybe my friend is not familiar with the call. Definitely,
the PIN for the appointment call is not cheap enough for most Chinese (36
RMB/8 minutes).
So I strongly suggest your place providing two approaches for the
appointment making. One is the current telephone approach. The second
important way is to do that on line. After the applicants have prepared
information needed (they have to pay the VISA application fee first, so
everyone would do it seriously), then they can make the appointment on your
website. This way also saves the applicants' expense for the telephone
calling, hence the best way. Besides, this way saves your workers' labor too.
