I bought air tickets through Expedia.com in the US for my parents who
currently live in China. What I received was a confirmation email and I
could also print an itinerary from the Expedia website. For them to go
through the US customs, is it enough to show the itinerary?

Normally no. You may put in a diagram if it helps the readers to understand

这个不一定，我知道很多真广告也有这条，好多大公司现在很谨慎，绿卡广告跟正式的

那是违法的。绿卡广告只能写简历寄给公司地址。
