收到了一个离老公公司开车开车1个半小时的小公司的offer, 据说经常加班，没有股票之类的东东
48000$/year.
偶有绿卡，fresh cs Ph.D，有大公司intern的经验，在国内有1年多工作经验。
听到offer，差点晕过去。

刚才用DS-160 的AA number查了一下签证状态，这是什么意思啊？批准了？要面签？
申请表上写的email，目前没收到任何信。

唉，是不是因为表现的太热切想去阿，当时觉得location不错。
可是这么少的钱，呜呜呜，一个星期以前就知道应该差不多有offer,盼望了半天，竟然
这么少。。

我没有听错啊，因为我激动的语无伦次，只知道重复说48000不行,hr mm也没有纠正。。。
他们就是编程，用不大着我ph.D作的东西，可是偶也做过很多编程的工作的哇，而且当
时忽悠俺说很有机会要用偶Ph.D的东西啊。

If they just need a bachelor or master for coding,they may just offer this
amount. Where are you located? In the middle and south area, 48K is not low
salary.
Want to get the Phd salary, you need to apply the Phd jobs. I had similar
experiences.

Oh. Is it close to the big city? If you are in the area as NJ and PA, if you
want to have a better career, don't take this offer. You start with this
job -- low salary in small company, it will be hard to bargain other jobs in
the future.
But it depends on your preference. If you need a job/money/experience at
this time.

I was overqualified for my last job, I was told in the interview. They were
looking for a bachelor with no working experience. I accepted. I need a job.
Then I was working on some senior projects, for promotion purpose, and then my organization was restructured and my position was eliminated -- it was a very junior position. I was laid off and so did my manager.
Also, I am not Phd, I have two masters.

Currently, I have a baby and my husband has a job. So I am not that hurry in
money part since I can take care of my baby at home rather than sending him to the daycare. But you know, money is the more, the better.
Also, my husband has a big chance to change his job one year later. So my
purpose now is to find a job to gain some experience. After he moves to a
new place, I will move with him..
In addition, my Ph.D direction requires Citizenship with security clearance.
I am currently not interest

You apply for small company due to you have the following reasons. Company
knows it. They pay you according to the position need, not to your degree. If
you can bring PHD value to them, they will pay you Phd salary. Many
companies even do not want to hire over qualify people even you want to
lower yourself.
This is the value of the free market.

大家不要转joke阿
偶特别想要这个offer,然后他们也不说多少钱。
偶就弄了四个纸团，抓阄，分别写的5万+，6万+，7万+，另外一个上写的是又不给
offer了
抓了几次，竟然是不给offer了，挺纳闷的，因为觉得差不多应该有阿，
原来老天是嫌弃俺写的太高了：（

I will reject. I accepted my low pay job but it is in a nice organization
and location is perfect for me. Even I was chosen to leave, I still keep
good relationship with my manager and others. The working experience helps
me a lot for the current job search.
But I am not in CS, CS is more technical based. Maybe doing something is
better than nothing.

他实验室给postdoc都是7w多啊。还有很好的retirement plan.

不过我没有毕业现在,这个工作是我在学校投的,我没有开始正式到处找,有小孩，也没
怎么特别上心，而且有location的限制。
估计应该会有别的机会的，我在弯曲实习过，环境蛮舒服的，我想好好找，应该有机会
，大家不要被俺泄气

收入得看行业和地区，不要以为有绿卡，fresh cs Ph.D，有大公司intern的经验，在
国内有1年多工作经验，就觉得了不起，年轻人，不要太浮躁哦。

如果在中部或者南部，也还好了，基本上给ms也就40-45k，phd差不多50-55k
不过在东部，还是phd，的确太少了，怎么着也得60k+啊

公找工作的时候好像也挺催的，现在想想，这种情况下催简直是要人命哇。
唉，我当时是据了， hr mm还是很耐心的，问我多少肯干，我就又回了个数，她说她
要商量一下，希望有好消息，那偶再来报告。有个差不多，偶就从了，找来找去的太闹
心了。不过看到版上说给了也可能收回去，确实可能要多花点时间投简历。。。

实在不行就先去工作一段时间再骑驴找马至少能攒点经验要不过一段时间你还是没
有industrial的经验

他们其实就是要找本科生编程吧。所以只能给这么多钱。毕竟phd有的时候还不如本科
生好使。而且从编程的角度来说，你的工作经验太少了，几乎可以忽略不计。
你如果接受了这个offer，将来倒是能积攒一些工作经验，但是以后也就只能当作本科
生使了。
