I want to know what kind of guitar, amp and effect were used in a song. How
the parameters were set to produce that sound. Is there such database on line?

用在录音室里？还是现场？这些参数恐怕还要跟录音室的设备有很大关系吧？如果是现场
，则需要DI,
Mixer等许多硬件的配置，但是：Effects的设置倒是有很多人在各个guitar论坛上讨论，
比如www.guitar.com什么的。

I just want to know to know what guitar and effect are used, how the pickup
switch, volume, tone in the guitar are set, how the effects are used and how
the amps are set. Not that detailed.

I never find a database about this, but for some famous
player, such as Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Joe ect..
you can find their set up from the web,
normally their offical website or big fan's site,
or some brochers of some brand name manufactures, like Roland.
But I don't think it is very useful, becuase any single
item in their system is too expensive to afford.
On the other hand, there is some information about how
to setting the cheap effect (like POD, GNX3, GT6) to
simulate those famous playe

that's probably the easiest way, otherwise for every player you
need to buy a new set of amps, fx, ax...hehe
POD is getting really cheap now. i want to buy a bass pod.
