In a depressing weekend. Joe Haldeman's writing is pretty cogent and
powerful.
But with all that --
High-tech war waged against guerilla force in 3rd world country;
Soldiers do not fare better in spite of the remote control gadgets;
Dead civilians = rebel force;
Endless political spin on both sides;
The ultra-religious in government;
