I install a software, it will automaticly run when I start up my windows2000
Now I want to delete it. I remove it by using control panel->remove programs.
However it still runs in starting windows.
Also it's not in my startup menu.
How can I stop it?

search the registry.

search what? the program name? then how?

run 'regedit' first, then
search the file name which is run every time.
