I need to install MS encycropedia in the NT 4.0 machine
But , it needs the Adminstrator pwd.
Who can give some advice how to get it??

I know it is not good to do that, but I just use it once.

Service pack version? Up to SP5, you can go to
neworder.box.sk, search for Windows NT security, and you
will get information of how to get administrator right. Of
course, you have to do some research on those information.
I'm not sure about SP6, good luck.

Can you explain it more in detail. I want to learn, although I am an adm in
our dept.:)

For SP up to 3, there is a famous program "GetAdmin", which
can be found everywhere about Windows NT security
(hacker/cracker) website.
For SP4 and SP5, "GetAdmin" doesn't work, but there are at
least two other ways to get Admin right. One is called
"Poisoning kernel memory object", the security hole was
found by a guy from L0pht, which was a famous hacker group.
The other is called "Exploiting the printing spool", I can't
remember who found that one. Both of them are not as simple
as GetAdmin,
