HELP!, HELP! HELP!
Yesterday, I use the liveupdate function of Norton Systems to install the
latest update. After that my computer works strangly. I have to wait a long
long time to open word, excel, powerpoint files. When I run the Norton
Systems, it is also very very slow, the windows task manager often indicates
those slow runing programs are "not response".
I am working on a very important project on my computer, really need help from
"Da Xia"

Did you scan right after the update and restart your PC till now?
For whatever reason, save your project first before doing anything.
then you may need to exam your processing list to see if there is abnormal
program runing. Stop those suspected program and restart to safe mode to see
if the pc works well. It is better to use a scanner from a bootable CD or scan
your machine using a network scan from other PC (Norton anti has the function).
And well if it is a torjan or some kind of worm, you ca

Many thanks for the info.
The update required the restart of the computer. And after I updates the
Norton Anitvirus, I did a full system scan and no virus was found. I always
set the Norton antivirus auto protection on and the keep the virus definition
up to date. I don't know how come my pc got this problem. I will try to use
the Norton CD to scan my PC again.
Could it be some SW conflict between the Norton system and the OS?

I don't know. it is not absolutely impossible to have something conflictable.
However I would exam the others first if I were you.

Plz go to norton anti-virus configuration,
then misc, then turn off office plug-in.
I had the same problem, don't know the reason.
