By the way, I figured a way to block those floating ad using the the script.
Add the following code into your userContent.css
/*remove mitbbs ad*/
@-moz-document domain(mitbbs.com) {
div[id=ad] /*left ad*/
,div[id=ad1] /*right ad*/
,*[width="50%"][height="25"] /*top ad*/
{display: none !important;}
}
Or install stylish extension and then load this script
