Just bought a thinkpad T61 with vista home basic and find the vista could
not support some softwares. I want to install a windows XP. Is that ok? Do I
need to install the drives? Will it affect the recovery late on? Thanks a
lot?

不用切换。很多时候直接在程序属性中选xp兼容模式就可以了。
