In the AT&T agreement you must activate the phone within a certain period (
it was either 30 or 90 days I forget) or you will be charged the full
ammount of the phone not just the upgrade cost which is rediculously spendy.

Hi guys. Just bought my Iphone 4g. However, I am quite shocked that I can't
use this microsim card in my Iphone 3G...

I got my iPhone 4 today, popped out the micro sim, placed it over my old sim
and traced it, cut it close with a scissor, then used a emery board to size
it and knock-off the pointed corners, works great.
Also, used the left over cardstock that my old sim card came in and made an
adapter so the new micro sim could fit into the full sized sim holder on my
old iphone, took a little time but it worked out fine.
