I will highly recommend Al Brooks "Reading Price Chart Bar by Bar". It's a
tough read, but offers lots of great setups and concepts on how the market
works. He day trade future. But same technique can be used in stocks too. I
learned a lot from his book!
If you are just a super beginner. start from:
1. Beginner's Guide to Short Term trading by Toni Turner
2. High Probability Trading by Marcel Link
they are both easy read and super fast to get through.
then you can start with:
1. The Master Swing Trader by Alan Farley
2. Trade for a living Alexander. Elder
First year, you will be reading a lot and learned all the indicators etc.
But I will recommend you not use any, start with reading price action.
Here is the list of things you want to learn but no need to use them all.
1. Price action (not candle sticks reading)
2. Support and resistance
3. Trend and trading range
4. Trendline
5. Volume
6. Price patterns
7. Wave counts
If you like indicators, start with research on:
1. RSI/stochastic
2. MACD
3. CCI
4. Fib
5. Bollinger Band
I tried all of them when I first started, and I got very confused. And I
found I know nothing about it. Right now I only use 20 EMA, trendline and
price action trading and I found it's my style of trading! Hope that helps!
Good luck
