For year 2011, you are leaving. And you can only deposite $5000 each year.
the good thing for IRA is, you do not need to pay TAX. For traditional IRA,
you still need to pay gain tax when you withdraw. for Roth IRA, you no need
to pay gain tax when you withdraw because the money you deposite is after
tax. Traditional IRA money is before tax.
so I do not think we should open IRA because we are day trader. Well, it
is good because we do not need to pay TAX. Since you will have no tax issue
when you are in China, it is not necessary to open one.
