Gold has almost ZERO utility, and about $500 true value which is the cost to
produce it. The gold price at $1700, $1800, $1900, is not much better than
a Ponzi game. The last one to buy it loses all.

1933年3月11日罗斯福宣布银行一律停止黄金的兑换。
1933年4月5日，罗斯福下令禁止私人囤积价值超过100美元的黄金。个人、企业和其他
组织必须到联邦储备银行或是美国联邦储备委员会的成员银行按照每盎司黄金20.67美
元的价格交出他们手中的黄金。任何被发现违反规定的人将面临至多10年的监禁以及高
达1万美元的罚金。
1933年6月5日，国会通过议案，正式取消金本位制。
