He was weirdly flawed as a human being, really never knew much about
technology, but he had an amazing instinct for what works.

It looks like they may have gotten some of their quotes wrong...
Here's the huffington post article they are quoting

PCMAG
Jobs says he found Gates "fundamentally odd" and "weirdly flawed" as a
person. Although Jobs recognized Gates as a shrewd businessman, he never
thought of the Microsoft chief as an inventor.

Bill Gates was fascinated by Steve Jobs but found him "fundamentally odd"
and "weirdly flawed as a human being," and his tendency to be "either in the
mode of saying you were shit or trying to seduce you."

"He really never knew much about technology," Jobs is quoted as saying. But
he had an amazing instinct for what works. Bill is basically unimaginative
and has never invented anything, which is why I think he's more comfortable
now in philanthropy than technology. He just shamelessly ripped off other
people's ideas."

After 30 years, Gates would develop a grudging respect for Jobs. "He really
never knew much about technology, but he had an amazing instinct for what
works," he said. But Jobs never reciprocated by fully appreciating Gates'
real strengths. "Bill is basically unimaginative and has never invented
anything, which is why I think he's more comfortable now in philanthropy
than technology. He just shamelessly ripped off other people's ideas."

Probably not.
Heard a story saying BillG asked him to join his Charity. Jobs rejected.
Also heard that Jobs had removed charity related department from Apple.
If above two sources are true, I would think he died early for a reason..

【在 w*****g 的大作中提到】

I like Gates much more than Jobs.
"Bill is basically unimaginative and has never invented
anything, which is why I think he's more comfortable now in philanthropy
than technology. He just shamelessly ripped off other people's ideas."
Well, if a person who "ripped off other people's ideas",
according to Jobs, can be far more philanthropic than
Jobs himself, what does that say about Jobs?
Actually, Jobs' above criticism of Gates is highly self-
contradictory, but I wonder whether he was smart enough
to notice it.
Don't assume celebrities and people in high places are
necessarily smart or logical. HPQ board had made a lot
of ridiculous blunders, for example, in addition to the
point about Jobs mentioned above. So to worship any of
the VIPs is likely foolish and without thinking. Often
they don't even know clearly what they're talking about.
