前天有人说这个rule对cash account 不适用，认为在cash account，只要只用settled
fund，即使《25k也可以dt more than 3 times in any 5 consecutive business day
period.
我查了一下，得到不同的答案，刚才蛋疼，问了broker，得到confirm：无论cash
account or妈紧account，pattern day trading都适用！！！！！ meaning： your
net account value must >=25k all time in order to do more than 3 day trades in any 5 consecutive business day period!!

嗯的。只有帐户保持>25000才是王道
所以没有个3、40K的本金，不要玩DT了

which broker did you ask?
FROM FINRA website:
The rules adopt a new term "pattern day trader," which includes any *margin
customer* that day trades (buys then sells or sells short then buys the same
security on the same day) four or more times in five business days

It's not about the $25,000 minimum, it's the free riding rule that stops you from
selling something bought using unsettled fund, in your cash account.

You still can't sell your positions bought with unsettled money in your cash
account, no matter how big that cash account is.

只能说你问的人是头猪
cash account, 只能用settled的钱去买
只要有settled的钱，就可以不停地买卖
无所谓你一天做多少次
买了再卖回来的钱要三天后才能再用，算unsettled
$25000只能margin帐号有效
cash account只另外两种限制

看来你是对的，问了scottrade 的agent，他的说法跟你一样。

可是又call了我的broker，她很肯定她是对的，well， i will call
another broker to get the finall answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
