1) I did not sell one share
2) As I stated before, the book value is over $30, expected earning over 1.
20/share for this year.
3) I expect their US mortgage operation to turn a profit this year
4) They have very profitable mortgage insurance operation in Canada/Austria.
Recently, the currency for both countries are at all time high against US
dollar, so they had some asset appreciation in the last quarter.
5) Their Life insurance sectors did not perform well but still profitable
and they took very strong price action for their LTC(long term care)
business. and they had three consective bad mortality experience quarters
for their personal life insurance after three favorable mortality quarters
In all, I am looking for double digits this year.
Of course, there is no sure thing for any investment. Your money, your
decision.
Also, the company could be down graded by S&P into junk due to the fact that
company was taking the debt for their US mortgage operation. All their
subsidaries are investment grade and will not be affected by the down grade(
this is a little bit complicated).
