We're around 10 minutes away from the earnings call, but Apple has already
shared numbers. As expected, they are big.
The company posted a $13 billion profit off of an astonishing $46 billion in
revenue.

How do those billions break down? For the quarter Apple sold 37 million
iPhones, 15.4 million iPads, 5.2 million Macs and 15.4 million iPods.

Earnings per share: $13.87. Analysts were expecting something like $10.08
per share.

Market Talk from Dow Jones shares an interesting tidbit. Apple now has cash
holdings of $97.6 billion: "To put that in perspective, only 25 companies
in the S&P 500--not counting AAPL itself--have higher market caps than that.
