Silicon Valley hedge fund Joon Yun last year offered the Palo Alto Longevity
Prize

offering two prizes, totaling $1 million to challenge scientists to "hack
the code of life" while pushing the human lifespan past 122 years, the
longest anyone has been recorded to live.
Fifteen scientific teams have entered the contest, which ends on Dec. 31,
2019, but will award the money for the first instance where restoring
vitality and extending the lifespan in mice by 50 percent is recorded, and
Yun says he'll spend even more money for bigger feats, calling it a moral
quest, reports The Guardian.
