Recently I learned that F1 student have to file 8843 even though there is no
income at all. Here is the problem: I am F1 (2002-current), got my B.S in
california in 2007, PhD student in Arizona right now. From 2002-2007 when I
was at school in CA (full-time student, money from family, no job or stipend
at all), I was never told about 8843 and I never received any paperwork
regarding taxation from school. Unlike most international students coming as
TA/RA, I wasn't asked to fill out any paperwork
