第一次教这门课。。。

This course was the worse specialization course I took this semester. It was
very badly structured, the style of the instructor made the subject matter
really boring and his lack of English knowledge made a further barrier for

我教过第一年后发现，我实在不能用ＰＰＴ教一些需要计算和推导的课，教不同的课，
要有不同的但是适合自己的方法。我觉得这个学生指出了你一些不足，有一些气话，
当没看见好了。我第一年的评语，还有比这不堪的，呵呵。

My department has 70+ people and Chair indeed read all my teaching
comments, and during the annual evaluation meeting asked me what I would
do in response to this and that issues raised by the student.
But of course, it differs from Chair to Chair I think.
I don't think not reading all the evaluations is a good idea, unless you
are sure your Chair doesn't care about teaching. Otherwise you may look
very bad when Chair mentions certain comments but you have no idea of what
he's talking about.

如果是新手，做好类似“花钱买教训”的心理准备就行了。好好地总结经验教训好好改
善就是了。没有人会在乎某个学期某个学生说了你什么，而是会看你几年来有没有进步
，是什么样的发展趋势，来predict你将来的表现。只要认真对待，总会越来越好的。

Second, definitely you need to improve, adapt your teaching to the students
each semester. The good thing is you have a lot of room to improve.
Your portfolio is available to every tenured faculty and there will be

理完之后不是都还给我们了么？怎么会head和所有的faculty都能看见？

单个的评价有可能带有气话的成分，但是看得出这个学生写的很认真，也涉及了很多方
面，楼主也许该好好考虑一下上课的质量。ppt有些时候很惹学生反感。想想在国内的
时候，是否也遇到过照读书的老师？你烦他们吗?
其次，你应该说说你的总体学生打分情况。一个班50人，10个说你不好，10个一般，30
个说你好，就已经很不错了。但是如果大部分学生的评价都不佳，那就要好好想想了。

下次教这门课的时候，可能考虑适当增加些公式推导的过程，但一定要注明不对所有的
学生要求推导，仅供有兴趣的同学进一步讨论。这样喜欢不喜欢公式推导的学生就都闭
嘴了。

我个人觉得本科的工程课程，大部分学生对于严格的推导不会感兴趣，也不一定有这个
数学基础。
问题是，你不能就直接给出来，然后就是要求学生去套公式。
我觉得你应该给出一个推导的Intuition，然后下工夫做解释，重点在于帮助学生理解
我这种情况，一般都是用PPT为框架和总结，大量中间过程还是板书，最好还是重要的
