I just got laid off. I am in my 5th year of H1B. I have 485/EAD since July 2007 (EB3). Wife just got her 2nd PERM approved and will file 140 soon (her first PERM is still in appeal.) We still want to keep the green card process in my previous company. What's the key point we should pay attention to? Thank you!

If you never used your EAD, yes, you can transfer it. But since it only has a little over one year, some company may not want to sponsor it. Let them know you have EAD will increase your chance of landing a new job.
