我一直用opt在A公司（E-verified）实习，在opt11月过期之前申请了opt extension，
现在还在
pending。但是老板通知我现在的实习只能做到2月底了。就在这两天B公司（not e-
verified）有
意向给offer，但是很关心我的visa情况。他们愿意给我申请今年4月的h1b，只是担心
我会不会让
他们从4月1日等到10月1日。我现在实在不知道我这种情况还有什么办法能够去B公司上
班，难道
到手的鸭子就这么飞了？郁闷啊，求助求助了……

2月底后，你只能用60天的grace period了。即使4月初B公司帮你递了H1B的申请，也只
能等到10月1日才可以工作。

no experience but I guess your green card, your passport, and the original S
SN card. Maybe you need to fill in some form also.

谢谢你，但是我opt extension的申请已经交了啊，估计在批下来的时候，我正好离开A
公司……opt extension期间不是可以有4个月unemployed吗？我在想这个是不是适用于
cap-gap
另外，请问能否push这个B公司加入e-verify呢？不知加入这个是不是麻烦？需要什么
手续呢？
唯一可能的offer啊，哎

谢谢。本来想电话问一下，但始终没人接。因为离得很远，不想因为证件没带齐而白跑
一趟。

去SSN网站查查吧。好像填一个表，要求的Documents也在表的说明里了。具体的忘了。

If you have Green Card, bring Green Card. If you do not have it, bring Work
Permit (EAD) as proof of your legal status.

昨天给B公司面试我的未来老板发了我的references的联系方式，今天他是这样回信的
，我应该怎样说我目前的情况呢？我真的很想push他们加入E-verify，但是到底能不能
现在说呢？

你这个有点误导把。
只要在OPT过期之前H1B批了，那就一直可以工作到H1B生效的。中间没有GAP问题
我们国际办公室就是这么说的。

A: H-1B petitions must be timely filed on behalf of an eligible F-1 student
. Timely filed means that the H-1B petition (indicating change of status
rather than consular processing) was filed during the H-1B acceptance period
, while the student's authorized duration of status (D/S) admission was
still in effect (including any period of time during the academic course of
study, any authorized periods of post-completion OPT, and the 60-day
departure preparation period, commonly known as the “grace period”).
According to this, it seems that you are eligible to work if the new
employer files H1B for you.
But I am confused by the following article on the same web page:
Q: If a student was not in an authorized period of OPT on the eligibility
date for the cap-gap extension; can the student work during the cap-gap
extension?
A: No. For a student to have employment authorization during the cap-gap
extension, he or she must be in an approved period of post-completion OPT on
the eligibility date.
