Used miktex, then gsview.
Did choose 'convert' 'Properties' 'EmbedAllFonts'--ture and 'SubsetFonts'--
ture.

These fonts (common ones for most system) are not embedded:
Error Font Times-Roman is not embedded (736x)
Error Font Times-Italic is not embedded (41x)
Error Font Times-BoldItalic is not embedded (2x)
Error Font Times-Bold is not embedded (40x)
Error Font Helvetica-Bold is not embedded (50x)
Error Font Helvetica is not embedded (28x)
Error Font Symbol is not embedded (4x)

It's a tricky issue. If you want a easy solution, use a free online service
http://www.ps2pdf.com/convert/convert.htm to convert your PS to PDF.

Thank you for answering the post.
After using this online service, those fonts are still not shown as embedded
in 'Document Properties'-'fonts'.
For example, the Actual Font used for 'Times-Itatic' is 'TimesNewRomanPS-
ItalicMT'.
When I used 'distiller' to do the coversion, the log shows:
%%[ Warning: Times-Roman not found, using Font Substitution. Font cannot be
embedded.]%%
%%[ Warning: Times-Italic not found, using Font Substitution. Font cannot be
embedded.]%%
%%[ Warning: Times-BoldItalic n

that conference does not give you a link, where you can
upload source, and they will convert to pdf confirmed to
their standard?
I tried one day on creating my pdf, failed. Finally, I
submitted source code, and let them generate for me.

Also, search in this board, "embed font", you can try that method
to see whether it works.

找了一些旧帖子，试了一些象修改cfg文件之类的办法，都不行。
没想到conference coordinator发了这个过来，the IEEE PDF eXpress service，倒是
work了。
不想自己再琢磨了，提醒大家要是有类似情况就直接用那个service好了。
还要再谢谢各位回帖。
