有了powerpoint, 而且也可以在powerpoint中输入latex的公式等，为什么还要用

对我来讲，主要的原因是我可以直接将文章的code用来做slide：省事，又美观

I think Beamer is OK for plain slides.
For complicated case, maybe PPT is easier
Can Beamer do animations?
Can beamer do some drawings directly?

beamer can do animation, and you can also draw directly on
the slides with some additional drawing packages.
But if you want to directly draw some 3D figures, it not a
easy job. However, you can always insert eps file into it.
