想知道雇人是不是要走什么专门程序，还是每个月给他钱/支票就可以了？
这样问是因为考虑到雇人是不是要交税什么的？如果他要direct deposit怎么弄？走这
些程序是不是要额外的费用呢？

我是06年1月以F2签证来美的,同年5月拿到一所学校的offer后将F2
的I94表换成了F1的I94,然后8月到学校报到开始上课.07年5月我回
国探亲,然后签F1返美继续学习.
现在毕业找到工作后(OPT)填W-8BEN来确定交税身份,其中一项是'Original
Date You Enterd US', 该项的解释是'F visa holder: the entry date
on your current visa is the first date that you arrived in the US
to begin your study'.
那么我应该填以上的那个日期呢?如果按字眼扣,好像是07年5月.我的理解
对吗?谢谢.

EDD是什么？
这个payroll service是不是就是去银行打一下direct deposit就可以了呢？

there are lots of things associated with employee. suggest you find
accountant
or doing some research. you can try intuit payroll services. it is good.
or if you need more HR services (such as benefits), try to search
"hr outsourcing" or talk to some professionals.
If you are ready to hire employees, you should pay some money to do it right
.

business account 可以包括payroll service.
bofa, citi 都有。很简单。

付钱就好了, 这些事情其实可以让会计师来做, 每月很少的钱, 你可以有精力做别的.
不过雇人还是很费的, 你要交税到EDD,IRS

1. if you can pay cash, pay cash. that's the simplest.
2. if you pay check, then you need to issue 1099 form at year end to your
temporary employee. he/she will be responsible to fill their own tax. also
simple for you.
3. if you have permanent employee, it's totally different story, better
consult a CPA. it may not worth the trouble.
