我的习惯总是, next就说下一年/月/周的那个,next august, next Friday
如果说这一年/月/周的,我一直是用the coming xxx
但前几天,却看到一篇,说,只要说是next,就是接着来的那个日子
如果今天是Wednesday,那next Friday还是说这个Friday,不是说下个星期的Friday
反正我都是有点迷糊的...但,或者自己也是时候去更正一直的说法

To me I would think next August is August of next year if August of this
year has not past.
as of right now, this August is when the Olympics will be held in China not
next August.

hmmmm, i would think if today's wednesday then this friday is the friday of
this week, next friday will be friday of next week...
