I boot Linux, it gives some output. The last few lines are:
Starting X font server: [ OK ]
Starting linuxconf: [ OK ]
Then it stops without showing anything.
What could be the problem? What does the boot want to do next?

When the init script begins to run, you can press certain keys to do it
step-by-step (don't remember which keys, read the screen carefully).

see your /etc/rc.d/rc?.d/
you should sort all the scripts and see which after your linuxconf.
Then you can move it or check the scripts.
Scripts start acording the A-Z sort.
