I encountered some problem for the first installation CD I
downloaded from Sun website. After I burn iso file to CD, the size
is correct, but when try to list or dir, only several files, moreover,

as i know now, you cannot find the executive file. but you
can let CD as reboot device, and then you will see what
happen there. it will automatically enter the installation
process. but pay attention to the installation process,
which is really damn crazy. i have spent days on that. but
still not successful. hope we can share some experience

才发现, 原来这CDRom Boot是不认第二个光驱的, 我把那张盘放到
第一个光驱里面就搞定了.
这个Solaris for Interl Platform去年暑假我回国的时候帮别人装
过一套, 感觉不是很困难, 跟老一点的Linux差不多. 只要照着显卡和显示器
的说明书把显示频率之类的配对, 其余的都比较简单.

我也刚刚装上了Solaris 8
感觉中文环境比较好,这一点上商业软件还是比Linux 要好一点点
