platform :ultra 10 /sun os 5.5.X
原来系统有一个20gb ST320420A IDE 硬盘(c0t0d0),想要用另一个20gb
ST320414A硬盘(c0t1d0)做备份(dump),但连上后,系统只能看到新硬盘为8GB,但型号正确.
我该如何让系统看到新的20GB硬盘?(原来的20GB硬盘,系统可以看到)

You need to let it work in LBA mode to address
more than 8G.

How did you do with your first original 20G hard
disk? They are both IDE disk, you can do it the same way.

I don't know why your first disk work, I do have the impression that solaris
2.5, 2.6 could only see at most 8 GB.
To make it work on your system
1. you could search and find a patch to solve it.
2. simply upgrade your system to version 7 or 8

Becasue the first one is the orignal harddisk from SUN vender. And system is
preinstalled. So I do not know how to do it.
Pls help.
