I set up a solaris 10 on a sun box at home
the wired thing is when I rename S74autofs and modify my auto_master then
do a automount stop and start job, the home directory still can not be found
the way i use is just link the export/home to /home, it works
any comments?

1. autofs is for NFS client, you said your system is standalone.
2. I don't understand your purpose, but if your home directory is
specified wrongly in passwd file why not just modify passwd file?

coz my sun is not networked with any machine, when I setup an user account
can't find a home directory, so the physical directory of the HOME should
on local hard disk, that is why I use the following steps to dsiable NFS.
the wired thing is still can not find the local home directory. anyway the
symbol link works after I changed the ownership
