开复的谈话中提到；“...这提升了我整个大学四年的GPA，使之达到了3．9。这个成绩
在计算机专业，是史无前例的高，我最终以全系第一名的成绩在哥伦比亚大学计算机专
业毕业。”
3.9就史无前例了？计算机毕业还排名？
本人在还不算水的学校计算机专业毕业GPA4.0，也没人告诉偶是不是史无前例，是第几
名。哥大不一样？还是开复又演义了？
哥大的或者其他计算机系的兄弟给解惑一下？

When you do some calculation, you know that GPA = 3.9 is impossible for him.
Because at the first two years, he had a very low GPA (guess below 3.00.
IT was why he had to change his major).

对开复个人是史无前例的高，不过广大4.0的CS学生表示压力不大。

just for the sake of argument:
1) It's not easy for undergraduate to graduate with 4.0 GPA.
Very rare, I should say.
2) The grade inflation in the US higher education has been
deteriorating in the past 20 years. You can't speak from
your own experience if you received your degree recently.
3) My work includes graduate admission, so I read transcripts
regularly. Most GPA from schools like Columbia in the 80s
are in the range of 2-3.
