If we can look at this issue from a different prospective (ignore the moral issue for just one second), how much money you contribute to those "welfare" receivers ? Use an assumption that you pay $45,000 tax annually(a high incomer), and there are ~45 million welfare receivers in US. So your total tax contribution in the past ten years provide only one cent benefit to each welfare receivers. Hope you don't get really mad if your kids just give a penny or even a quarter to beggars on the street :-(
