The XXX Police Deaprtment performed compliance checks February 14th of all
nine businesses that sell tobacco in the City of XXX. Eight of the
businesses were compliant with laws forbidding the sale of tobacco to a
minor. Quillin's in the Centrum Plaza was non-compliant.
Now comes word that Quillin's has agreed to pay a fine for the violation,
rather than appealing the ruling. A hearing scheduled for Monday night's
XXX City Council meeting has been cancelled. Instead XXX City County
members will be asked to officially accept the settlement.
