I am myself is a betrayer of Chinese traditional music
research.
I personally prefer to study science. But my father is a
dedicated ethnomusicologist
who spent 50% of his time doing field work(go to all parts
of China to record
and collect folk music) and another 50% on theoretical work
and education.
What I can do is bear this in mind and enocourage you to
listen more of Chinese
music. Maybe in the future, We can have some introductions
and on-line
music. I hope I still could write something ab
research.
