An Alabama pastor wanted for his wife’s July murder was nabbed by cops at a
Tennessee airport Wednesday night as he tried to flee the country for
Russia.
Rev. Richard Shahan, 53, had been questioned after his wife’s July 23
murder and was held in jail for 48 hours as cops investigated. He was later
released without being charged — until cops issued a Dec. 31 warrant to
arrest the former Birmingham minister in relation to Karen Louise Shahan’s
killing.
"He's our only suspect," Homewood Police Lt. Dan Smith told AL.com.
