在大家眼里，美国医生挣得多，和绝大多数人比应该挺知足的。而且靠技术吃饭，工作
是很有保障的。但是我发现美国医生原来挺担心自己的收入。
他们说工作很忙但这是好事，至少还有工作。他们其实担心的是病人少，收益不高。看
来不论挣多少还想往多挣。
那个我认识的麻醉医跟我说了一件事儿。他说现在美国缺少一种药,可惜药名我没记住
。反正是一种老药。现在美国各地的医院都缺这种药。所以限制用。他们医院现在每个
月能用的这种药量，过去不到一个星期就用了。现在这药主要留给Emergency的情况。
总而言之没这种药surgeon就不能做手术。而现在医院的主要收入70%要靠各种手术。没
这种药，surgeon做不了手术，医院收入少就得跨了。更要命的是surgeon没什么收入还
要有很多费用如保险等要付，surgeon入不敷出，就干不下去了，很多外国人surgeon就
得离开美国去其他国家了。即便这药以后不缺了，可是过程还是不可逆的，跨了的就是
跨了，会不来了。
问起这种药为什么缺，因为药厂都是私立的，这药时间长了，没有专利起作用了，生产
这种药的利润大大降低，加上条文的限制，药厂就不怎么生产这种药了。而国家又不

其实还是有美国人认为中国这样的政府好呢。特别是美国在走下坡路，有人对奥巴马不
满，说他没做好什么事，政绩不行，但是美国媒体都替他在cover

Propoful is troublesome for manufaturing in large quantities, and profit
margin is not as good as many other drugs. The recent shortfall is due to
several manufaturers pulling out of the market d/t above reasons, leaving
only 1 or 2 left, but unwilling to increase production for the same reaons...
Propoful is not an easy drug to substitute...

公共健康是和政府有关系的。政府都在制定医疗保健系统。虽然药是三个制药厂生产的
，但是这涉及到公共健康问题国家是该插手的，正是因为美国政府“不作为"这个缺药

其实很有关系，就是关于医药事故的赔偿问题。民主党一向扛着人权幌子，高价赔偿，
搞的医疗事故保险巨高，药物公司赔偿巨大。

free market does not solve all problems. but its value is often
underestimated, especially when people overlook the failure of government.
Btw,the US government did make effort to protect consumers by making the
market of propofol more competitive. See the antitrust case below.

In March 2010, the FDA reauthorized the third propofol manufacturer, APP
Pharmaceuticals, to import Fresenius Propoven 1% (1 percent propofol),
approved for use in countries outside the United States and manufactured in
FDA-approved facilities. APP has also increased manufacture of its propofol
products.

可以很负责地告诉你，那不是坑。我们虽然没有浪漫关系，但是友谊在发展。前几天他
请我吃饭让我带上在中国的照片，看到我妈的照片他说他会和我妈很和得来。说明他还
是有些想法的吧
