2168 billion USD in 2008.
there were 304 million people in USA in 2008.
So, on average EACH person has to pay 2168000/304 = $7131 to FEDERAL
government.

let's say a so-so chinese couple who make 75k each per year, how much tax
they need to pay?
even the 250k is not that hard to reach for typical chinese couple if they'
ve been working for a while or in either coast.
with house/car and kids in college, they are not loaded at all.

It's a cost-benefit analysis for me (and everyone else).
Yes, middle class people have to pay more tax, but i believe that the
benefit we get (in form of more jobs and less competitive labor market)
will outweight the tax we pay.
I am definitely for paying slightly more and getting a lot more in
return.

Yes, middle class people have to pay more tax, but i believe that the
benefit we get (in form of more jobs and less competitive labor market)
