我在一个XPHOME的机器上装了GHOST 12，然后我把一个
VISTA的机器的启动硬盘拿过来IMAGE BACKUP，再RESTORE
到另一个大SIZE的硬盘里，居然大硬盘启动不了那个VISTA。
为啥？谢谢哈。。

it depends on your image backup, whether it is the whole disk or just vista
partition. if it is latter, you also need to modify boot sector.

是DELL的装VISTA的机器硬盘。里面应该有2个PARTISON叭，
一个是很大的正常VISTA的启动和数据盘，另一个是10G
左右的系统恢复盘。我要把这个80G的硬盘完全一样的
COPY到另一个250G的硬盘里，怎么做呀？谢谢。谢谢。。

what information does it show whne you say cannot boot? "Missing NTLD ..."?

黑屏。WINDOWS带不起来。。

try try bootsect. don't put much hope on it. you cloned the os from another
machine but want it to run on your machine, all hardware drivers are wrong.

不是呀。我CLONE的原MACHINE的80G硬盘到250G硬盘上，再用
在原MACHINE上呀。。

好象你的分区大小都要相同的....

分区只要大就可以，他可能只ghost了分区，以至与引导扇区
没有更新，所以启动不了

谢谢。你曾经成功的GHOST过嘛？比如跟我完全一个的情况下，
GHOST 12装在WINXP的机器上，然后试图把DELL VISTA的80G
硬盘GHOST成250G的再装回去？

nod,分区大小不用care. 关键要把那个系统恢复用的隐藏分区也ghost过去,而且顺序不
变,否则要改boot.ini.
如果80g是IDE硬盘,而250G是SATA,则要确定两者用同样的硬盘驱动.

两个都是SATA硬盘。也就是说两个分区需要GHOST两次？谢谢。。

嗯，ghost整个disk更好，disk to disk，但是大硬盘原来的数据就都废了，不care的话
就ok

don't see this option on ghost 12. And I do want to save an image on hard dr
ive in case need to restore again in the future..

不可能阿，ghost从来都是支持disk-to-disk对考的

it can do partition to image, image to partition too
I have 2 partitions on 1 HD, backup 1 to image on the second one, and
restore for it when needed, no problem.

ps, I don't think using installed ghost is a good idea, the best way to use
ghost is boot computer from cdrom/usb device, then run it.
