前段时间卸载了norton,装了PCguard,之后电脑开机一段时间之后就变得很慢.
CPU Usage只有2%到9%左右,硬盘40G还有7G free,做了defrag HD也没用.
请问还需要检查什么? 先谢了!

Memory总共是500M,有一个叫PPClean.exe的用的Memory在不停地涨,而且涨得很快,
是怎么回事?现在有300M了.

ppclean.exe file information
The process pest cleaning module belongs to the software PestPatrol by
Computer Associates (www.ca.com).
Description: ppclean.exe is located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files".
Known file sizes on Windows XP are 410112 bytes (33% of all occurrence),
411136 bytes, 386048 bytes, 405504 bytes, 407552 bytes.
The program has a visible window. The process is loaded during the Windows
boot process (see Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\

it seems to be OK now. I downloaded a security task manager, quarantined
PPClean, but PPClean came back when I restarted the computer, and occupied
more and more memory as time goes by.
Then I suddenly found the security task manager produced a file called
something like PPCleanRunOnceDeleteAtBoot.bat under C:\. I ran this command.
Although PPClean.exe is still under the directory, it does not come back to
occupy the memory any more.

create a new user account, and login as that one, to see if problem fixed

login safe mode， delete it.
otherwise, when u delete it in normal mode, it will reproduce themself.
it is a very annoy virus.
