the site is http://www.adaptec.com/support/files/cdrupdates.html
they also give the reason why you need patch.
I d/l two patch files in order to let my Creative 8432 CDRW work
in w2k.
Btw: After I change DMA to PIO in all IDE setting, now it works fine.
how is your setting?
