You can restore the partitions via a tool in windows 2000 disc.
you can see a folder named support under the windows 2000 install
disc, install the support tool. there will be a tool named diskprobe.exe
under the program files\support tool\
you can use the tool to restore your MBR of the disk
MBR is the master boot record. there is space for 4 partition table.
you can refer to this link of how to restore the partitions:
under "drives" menu choose "physical drive" double click the harddisk0
